Your Website Has One Job — Here's How to Tell If It's Doing It

Your website isn't a digital business card. It's not there to just look nice and sit in the background. It has one job: get people to pick up the phone or fill out that contact form.
That's it. If your website isn't turning visitors into booked inspections, something needs attention. The good news? You don't have to guess whether it's working. The data is already there, and you've already got access to it.
Check your numbers.
If you're an IWB client, you're getting monthly analytics reports from us. But you don't have to wait for that report each month — you can see all of this yourself, right now, in your Wix dashboard. Pull it up on your computer or open the Wix app on your phone: Wix Analytics Overview article.
Here's what to look at:
Site visits — how many people are actually landing on your site? If that number's been going up, whatever you're doing is working. If it's been flat, it might be time to look at what's driving (or not driving) traffic.
Where they're coming from — are they finding you through Google? Through AI search engines like ChatGPT or Google's AI Overviews? Social media? Typing your website in directly? This tells you which of your efforts are actually paying off and where you might want to put more energy.
Contact form fills and calls — this is the one that matters most. Visits are nice, but conversions pay the bills. If you're getting decent traffic but nobody's reaching out, the site might need a tweak.
The dashboard does more than you think.
A lot of our clients don't realize how much is built into their Wix account. It's not just a place where your website lives. Your dashboard tracks your analytics, shows you where leads are coming from, manages your contacts, and even gives you marketing tips tailored to your business: Wix Dashboard Guide. There's a whole section for managing your online presence — SEO tools, email marketing, social posts, all of it. And it's all included. You're not paying extra for any of that.
This is one of the things that makes our setup different from other website providers. You're not just getting a website. You're getting a full platform that supports your business online. We set it all up during the build so it's ready to go, but it's there for you to dig into whenever you want.
What if the numbers aren't great?
Don't sweat it. That's what we're here for. Sometimes it's a small fix — a service area page that needs updating, a phone number that's not prominent enough, or a call-to-action that got buried. Sometimes it's about what's happening off the site — your Google Business Profile might need some love, or you might need to be a little more active on social media to drive traffic.
The point is, your website is a living thing. It's not "set it and forget it." The inspectors who treat it like an ongoing investment — checking in on the data, keeping things fresh, staying active online — are the ones who see steady growth.
Take five minutes today. Pull up your dashboard or open the Wix app. See what the numbers say. You might be surprised at what you find.
